Postdoctoral Position in MRI/MRS Imaging Research

A postdoctoral position is immediately available (up to three years) at the MR Research Laboratory in the Department of Radiology, University of Missouri. Successful candidate is expected to join an ongoing MRI/MRS molecular imaging project for cancer research, with a focus on the development of MRI contrast agents or MR imaging and spectroscopy techniques. The laboratory is located within the H. S. Truman Memorial VA Hospital Biomolecular Imaging Center and the MU Radiopharmaceutical Sciences Institute. The candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with basic science researchers and clinicians. Facilities include a state-of-the-art 7T MRI, a Micro-PET, a combined Micro-SPECT/CT and a Xenogen IVIS 200 optical imaging scanner. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in an appropriate discipline, such as physics, chemistry, biophysics, biomedical engineering, or biochemistry. A strong MRI, NMR or molecular imaging background is preferred. Interested applicants should submit a cover letter, CV, and three reference letters to Dr. Lixin Ma through E-mail: mal@health.missouri.edu. The University of Missouri is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
